Percussion Ensemble

The Percussion Ensembles' core members are Paul Simpson-Smith, Scott Howard, and Steve Todd. When the music requires, members from other sections of the Band contribute their abilities to the success of percussion performances.

The focus of Percussion performances in recent years has been the Marimba. The Marimba group incorporates arrangements by Scott and Paul of latin/carribean style music with drum machine percussion backing. Blue Clarks' innovative hand drum and auxiliary percussion style augments this great original concept. The first of its kind in Australia.

OTHER INFORMATION

The Marimba has worked privately as a duo since 1994. Performances include; The East End Markets 1995- July 1997 Rundle Mall summer promotions 1995 and 1996.

The group is able to perform in a background format, as in a pre-dinner drinks situation or a full on stage concert performance.
