Saxophone Quartet

There are a number of people within the Police Band who play Saxophone, hence there was a need to play music specifically for Saxophone ensemble.

At various times over the past 10 years, a saxophone quartet met and played together.

In 1997, Lance Perryman met with 3 other interested band members with the intent of forming a regularly rehearsing and performing Saxophone Quartet, and “Sax Squad” was formed

The inaugural performances were at the Perth Royal and Adelaide Show in 1997. Since then the quartet has been well received wherever it has played.

The Quartet’s repertoire ranges widely from Original French Saxophone Quartet Music and Classical, to more popular and jazz style arrangements, thus it is a very versatile group for both informal and formal occasions.

The members of the Quartet are

Lance Perryman – Soprano Saxophone

Jacki Hatcher – Alto Saxophone

Craig Menzel – Tenor Saxophone

Adam Buckley – Baritone Saxophone
