Wind Quintet
The wind quintet was formed in 1988 by Constable David Burvill-Holmes. It was developed from the need of some woodwind players to perform Chamber Music as opposed to Concert Band and Military Music and to offer an alternative small group other than the Brass Quintet.
Today the Wind Quintet has an extensive repertoire, ranging from the Baroque composers like J.S. Bach, the big Classical men like Haydn and Mozart, through to the Romantic Era and music from the 20th Century. Individual Quintet members have also added their own arrangements to the repertoire.
The Quintet performs many concerts for Senior Citizens and Community Groups, and is a delightful accompaniment to Receptions, Banquets and Formal Dinners.
The members of the Quintet are
David Burvill-Holmes – Flute
James Crettenden – Oboe
Paul Drayson – Clarinet
Mark Lawrence – French Horn
Kerryn Lang - Bass Clarinet
