Engagements are assessed weekly on a first in, individual basis, and clients are notified in writing of the availability of the Band and the success of their application. It is advised that when selecting dates for an event that a degree of flexibility be maintained and alternative performance dates be provided. If an application is for a once-off specific date i.e. an Anniversary celebration, special consideration can made, but still depends ultimately on the Band’s availability at the time. The Bands annual calendar is varied and extensive and it should be noted that most performances are allocated 12 to 18 months in advance. Early preparation and request is in the organisers best interest. The Band also regularly travels Intrastate, Interstate and Overseas, and there are certain criteria that must be met by the event organisers for the Band and SAPOL to accept a travel request.
