Sponsors and Sponsorship Opportunities

The Band of the South Australia Police enjoys a high public profile, which has included world wide television exposure, and recent Australia wide exposure after the Glenelg Military Tattoo, the last Grand Prix race in Adelaide and the annual Christmas Pageant.

Concert performances reach 50 to 2000+ people per event. School visits, which include parents and teachers, reach groups from 200 to 2000.

Government and Tourist events reach 200 to 300,000 and larger, depending on television viewing audience.

The last financial year of 1997/98 saw the Band perform 400 events in 256 working days.

In 1990 and 1998, the band performed in Edinburgh and London respectively, and it was through a lot of hard work from the Band in raising the funds that the trips were successful. To date, sponsorship has been very hard to obtain, and we are always very keen to hear from potential sponsors for the band.

In London 1998, the band performed to 8000 people each performance, for 26 performances. It was also expected that there was a television audience in the UK alone of approximately 2 million. Television rights are still being negotiated for an Australian broadcast of the Royal Tournament.

The Band returned to Edinburgh for the Golden Jubilee Military Tattoo in July 2000, and performed to 217,000 people live and a television audience numbering around one hundred million.  We were very grateful to a number of small companies that offered their services in kind and also contributed financially to the tour.  We are most grateful to our major sponsor "Malaysia Airlines" for it's outstanding contribution to the success of this trip.

The potential market for any sponsor can be further enhanced by advertising material such as flags, stickers, balloons and T Shirts etc. supplied by a sponsor.

With the introduction of our World Wide Web Site, a sponsor has the opportunity to have direct links to their site from our Web Page, and if there own personal page is not available, we will add pages to our site on their behalf, therefore displaying their business to the rest of the world in gratitude for their support to us.

If you feel that your business could benefit from exposure by the Band of the South Australia Police, please e-mail us and we would be happy to present to you a formal submission.
